Pastor Jody Wood has been on staff at Calvary Church for the past 35 years as a Pastoral Counselor. He earned his Masters Degree in Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Clinical Theology from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has a passion for seeing those who have experienced trauma, abuse, and emotional pain experience freedom and healing. He practices from a spiritual model of healing that incorporates God’s love and healing touch in the lives of survivors of trauma. He has attended numerous trainings on trauma over the years and studied extensively about healing of all sorts of emotional pain. He is also trained in EMDR and is involved in a Professional Brain Health Certification training with Dr. Daniel Amen. He is also passionate to see marriages transformed by God’s love as well. He has been married to Dorothy for the last 25 years and has 3 adult step-children.
