At Calvary, we believe that no one should walk alone. The Care Ministry is a team of dedicated people that serves with a heart of compassion. This compassion is expressed in different ways, including phone calls, cards, meals, visits, and walking beside those who are grieving. If you have a need, we’re here for you! Please let us know how we can help.
How we care for our community:
Connection
The Care Team is passionate about connecting with others and reminding them of how much God loves and cares for them. From making phone calls to those who are lonely, to sending sympathy cards to those who lost a loved one, to even showing up with a fresh hot meal after a recent surgery or birth, we do all we can to be a community that cares about both people's relationship with God and their everyday well-being.
Service
The Care Team loves serving our community! Whether through providing transportation to a doctor's appointment, assisting deployed military members, or delivering meals to those in need, we want to serve as the Lord leads. Helping to meet the need is the goal, because we truly care!
Encouragement
1 Thessalonians 5:11 says “Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” No matter what the difficult situation, the Care Team exists to encourage and support those who are hurting. Our GriefShare support group helps those going through the process of grief. Our Senior Connections ministry visits local nursing homes, singing hymns and lifting the spirits of nursing home residents. Team members are also dedicated to praying for those going through a difficult time, receiving a list of prayer needs every week.
