PRESS ON INTO 2023
Happy New Year!
Today we're taking time to worship, thank God for another year, and start our year focused on God.
SCRIPTURE
Seek and Live
Matthew 6:31-33 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."
Jesus was teaching the then and now to not be preoccupied and dominated by the pursuit of things that would deter us from focusing on what is most important. Seek God's kingdom life first, and live righteously and he will take care of everything you need.
God's love
Lamentations 3:21-23 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: 22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Love God. We know God loves us. Does God know we love Him?
John 14:15; John 15:9-10
Love God
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
To help you grow in your love for God and to become more like Christ we have provided a few things.
Bible reading plans. I encourage you to pick a plan to go through the year with a few people to grow together!

Daily Prayers for Calvary in 2023
These are daily prayers in my life for you and our church. I'm asking that you would join me so we can be in one accord as we pray this year. Feel free to add your own prayers to this list!
Pray that we will live a life of worship unto God, in private and in public. Pray that we attend weekly services hungry for more of God and leave filled with the Holy Spirit!
Pray for the salvation of family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Pray for the prodigals, skeptics, and enemies to be humbled and come home to God!
Pray we will be the laborers to serve in the church, the harvest of Delaware, and the world. Pray that our compassion for the lost will increase and move us to act!
Pray we will grow and mature into disciple-makers who can teach and lead those who decide to follow Jesus. Pray for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to be upon us to build and equip the church and the new believer!
Pray we will be generous and faithful to give our tithes and offerings to the church. Pray for financial blessings and breakthroughs for God’s people, the mortgage payoff, and our missionaries around the world.
Pray for the unity and perseverance of the church. Pray that we remain faithful to the grace and truth of Christ as we worship, serve, and grow together!
Pray for the leadership and vision of our church. Pray for God’s protection, provision, guidance, wisdom, and courage to lead Calvary forward.
My prayer for CALVARY:
Philippians 1:9-11 I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. 10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. 11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.
Love you and God Bless!
