The Gospel of Jesus Christ

"When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned." (Romans 5:12)

Since "everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard…and the wages of sin is death.” (Romans 3:23; 6:23)

But…“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.” (Romans 5:6)

“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8)

“We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.” (Romans 3:22)

"If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved." (Romans 10:9‭-‬10)

Do you understand your need as a sinner but also recognize the act of grace through Jesus to save you? If so, instead of putting your hope and faith in this world or even yourself, put your faith in Jesus right now. Confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

A prayer you can pray to help you take this step:

“Dear God, Thank you for loving me. Thank you for giving your Son, Jesus, to die for my sin. I believe I am forgiven and confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior. To thank you, I give my life to love you and follow Jesus.  In Jesus name, amen!”

When you do this scripture says that your relationship with God changes and so does your purpose...

“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.” (Romans 5:1)

“There is now no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin…” (Romans 8:1-2)

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10
