The 2024 Money Matters Conference is a FREE event designed to help improve your financial habits and knowledge. Whether you are looking to sharpen your financial tools to save and invest or are interested in topics such as investing, estate planning, and social security, this conference is for you!
We will have three workshops led by professionals in financial planning and social security to provide resources and help you on your road to financial freedom. Come and learn how to find financial peace of mind at Money Matters Conference 2024!
A light lunch will be provided. Check-in begins at 8:30am, and the conference goes from 9:00am-2:00pm.

Matt Baxter
Matt Baxter is Social Security’s public affairs specialist for Delaware along with the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia. Matt has seventeen years of experience working for Social Security. Since 2014 he has coordinated the agency’s outreach efforts throughout his territory. Prior to serving in his current capacity, Matt spent seven years as a claims specialist in the Wilmington, DE field office, during which time he received a Commissioner’s Citation, one of the agency’s most prestigious employee awards.
Matt grew up in Lancaster County, PA and graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a B.A. in International Relations. He lives with his wife and two cats in Wilmington.
Kenneth Reese
Kenneth Reese graduated from Penn State University in 2008 where he enjoyed studies in finance and law. He graduated with a bachelor degree in Political Science with a Business minor but decided to pursue a career as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER practitioner incorporating his passion for finance into his career path. His ten years of wealth management experience come from both a bank and a boutique planning environment. Ken continued to deepen his financial planning knowledge by earning several designations including becoming a ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant), a CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), which are both awarded by the American College and an Enrolled Agent, awarded by the Internal Revenue Service acknowledging his in-depth knowledge of individual taxation, corporate and partnership taxation and Circular 230 regulations, the ethics and rules governing the IRS practices. Ken is now working on obtaining his Master’s Degree in Financial Services. He currently resides in Lewes, Delaware with his wife, Hilary, and young daughters, Jane and Carys.
